FAQ

Is it legally binding?
Yes for standard B2B contracts when the process is appropriate. BankID strengthens proof of who signed.
Does it work in Adobe Reader?
Yes — our sealed documents show valid signatures with LTV enabled.
Can we switch from Scrive or another provider?
Yes. Finish in-flight envelopes on the old provider; send new ones through Pactumize. We can run a pilot first.
Do we need the full Pactumize platform?
No. Essentials and Business are for sign-only use (standalone product launching separately). The full platform is recommended when you need templates, negotiation, or data rooms.
Where is data stored?
On Pactumize infrastructure in Sweden / EU. A DPA is available for enterprise customers.
Can counterparties trust the PDF without trusting Pactumize?
Yes. They can upload the file to service.pactumize.com/sign/verify or open it in Adobe Reader. The seal is mathematically verifiable.
Can someone approve without signing?
Yes. Add an acceptor — they review and approve before any signer. Acceptors don't sign or seal the PDF and aren't included in the evidence pack. Every envelope still needs at least one signer.
